I ended up reinstalling the entire distro and the problem is now gone. sddm;0.18.0-lp152.5.3.1;x86_64 is working fine now. I'm not sure why this issue was occurring but it may have had something to do with the kernel update or something getting corrupted. Thank you for testing.
