FATAL: Module nvidia not found. (EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to load the NVIDIA kernel module!
....
now, why the heck does it want to use the NVIDIA kernel module, propietary, instead of the plain "nv" module, that DOES work?
I have to force it via "--modules 0=nv"...
xorg.conf must have "nvidia" ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Driver "nvidia" s/nvidia/nv and you haven't compiled the kernel for the nvidia module I "think" :^) - -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFGjU+ysbn4NKpz0QERAiwaAKCvuyViaL1w66U+54FuXD6+nEad3QCeKb4s S3nVcOQKAAXiaLPObrnr+RU= =rOBb -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
