try to remove any partition when do re-install. so, you must: - choose new installation - choose custom partition, why? because suse New Installation doesn't mean really NEW, but it will install on new partition - select Use Entire Partition
I know how SUSE installs work :-) I've been using SUSE since version 6.0. I don't have any problems with how custom partitioning works.. it's the only way I install since I never agree with the suggested partitioning. The partitioning is NOT the issue here. Nor is formatting a partition... it's the behaviour after the install is done and everythign is up and running... as $USER I can't type anything without getting that out of control keyboard repeat and the random hibernates. All of which settles down and stops anywhere form 30 minutes to 2 hours after a boot up.
