Hi, I downloaded the XFree86 3.3.6 version from suse ftp site for 6.3. I tried installing or rather upgrading the existing XFree86 3.3.5 to 3.3.6 on my m/c. When i used 'rpm' command to query the XFree86.3.3.6.rpm package under /usr/lib, the rpm command came out with the error "Cannot query package". I tried to install, but once again it came out saying "error: cannot install package ". What can be the reason?? Is it because the XFree86 3.3.6 package has been built with an rpm version higher than the one which came with 6.3 (i,e 3.0.3 34). How can i know with what rpm version the XFree86 3.3.6 has been built with?? Should i take the latest rpm version and from where??
