Certainly WiFi should be done by uses, unless a company wants to send a tech along with employees to hotels, coffee shops etc.
I worked for a company where wifi was strictly forbidden (they also employed antitempest windows). The issue was that wep encryption was weak. Now there is stronger encryption, but I don't see them allowing their employees to freely connect anywhere with the risk of choosing a nonencripted AP. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
