+1 to that. Check the archives. I ran into problems with speed and the list advised me to buy a Transcend USB3 (external) reader even when dealing with USB2 sockets. I did that and all is well and it performs wonderfully. Per: It may be that the older Toshiba works because it is USB2 with a USB2 reader but there is a problem with your USB2 reader on the newer USB3 socket on the newer Lenovo.
