If this doesn't work. Then in your rc.config look for the YAST_ASK and comment it out. SuSE does some wanky shite with their MTA's and the configs for them. I ALWAYS remove SuSEconfig's ability to screw with my MTA because 9-10 it frell's it up pretty badly. But this is just my opinion..and you can take that for what it's worth.

Actually SuSEconfig and Postfix is the only place where SuSEconfig does not check for user changes in 7.1.
