If I buy a ECC memory machine, will ECC-added-value be used "out of the box", without configuration on OpenSUSE (no SLES) ?
ECC is a hardware function that has nothing to do with software. In fact, it should be transparent to the operating system and apps. ECC relies on parity bits to perform error detection and correction. This is entirely done in hardware. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
