Hi Folks, I noticed that 12.1 seems to have changed DHCP behavior where a new lease is not requested when the network interface is brought up. This manifests itself when an Ethernet cable is moved from one network to another. The DHCP-obtained parameters, including IP address, netmask and default gateway, "stick". The configuration persists through reboots and manually bouncing the network. Yesterday the only way I could get it to reset was to remove the lease files in /var/lib/dhcpd, then bounce the network. This behavior is new to 12.1, has anyone else noticed it? How can we tell the DHCP client to re-obtain a lease when its interface is brought up? This behavior noticed on more than one install of x86-64. Thanks, Lew -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
