Hi, listing my /tmp i always come across these kinds of files: -rw------- 1 root root 0 Oct 20 00:04 lsR29142.yDZdLh -rw------- 1 root root 0 Oct 20 00:04 lsR29142.vfuqPd -rw------- 1 root root 0 Oct 20 00:04 lsR29142.wTiTL1 what are they? these kinds of files are the most commonly appearing files in my /tmp. do they have anything to do with ls command?
All kinds of programs use /tmp to place their temporary scratchpad files. Cron is supposed to regularly remove them. If not, delete them yourself. Just be sure they arn't currently being used. :-) -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
