Someone previously mentioned having read that SUSE 9.2 would not install on anything less than 256 MB of RAM.

Minimum 128MB, 256MB recommended
It's usually possible to get below even the "minimum" by enabling swap early enough in the installation process

It might also have been talking about the 9.2 Live Eval CD as it won't work with less than 256MB. It told me so when I tried to run it on a machine with less! ;o)

Well, it spooked me to think I wouldn't be able to install 9.2. I did get pointed to the correct link (I had missed it initially) on the 9.2 pre-release page, that gave 128MB as the minimum. After seeing the post about less than 256 MB, I was a bit nervous - the HP Vectras only have 192 MB at most. I didn't realize that the post could have been referring specifically to the live eval CD.
