Yesterday I installed libxine1 for amarok. But I get this error when I start my suse today. Error: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object in <0x003d6> Novell.Zenworks.Gui.ZenTrayIcon:CheckUpdatesLoop () in (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void () I reinstall all things about yast2,but it still doesn't work.I google but don't get an answer. How can I solve this???
Welcome to the club. You are now officially the second person on this list to have this problem. I have been trying to get an answer to this problem for a couple of weeks now since doing a online update to Yast2. I keep hoping the engineer at SuSE will come back additional information besides doing a rebuild of the rpm database... The problem has to do with starting update "watcher" icon in the "zen tray" and its functionality.
Did you open a bugreport? Including the information that you added packman as source and above info?
Ciao, Marcus
I don't know what Packman would have to do as a source but anyway, I was reading an article in the latest Linux Magazine (UK) on SuSE 10.1, and in there was a magic little line "rpm -e zmd rug zen-updater" Ran that and it painlessly removed the zen stuff and then I was able to get an update using YOU without any issues and on the first attempt. I have two minor issues (annoyances) to pass along, KDETV starts on boot 70% of the time so I get the joy of the noise from that while waiting for SuSE 10.1 to get me to the login screeen so I can access KDETV and shut it down and now ktorrent (nothing to do - I attempted to use it the other day thinking it worked) now seems to want to start everytime I login so I have to close it on logging in now. Ktorrent in 9.3 did this too. Clint
