I'd like to recode some digital video from the full resolution of my camera down to something less. Basically I have DVD stuff I burned ages ago using something under windows (Nero, I think?) and it's 640x480, or some such. But anyway, it's big, and high res. I'd like to be able to shrink it down to something smaller, mainly in terms of space, but I'd be happy enough to lose resolution too, say to 320x240? It would be useful if I could turn it back into a more "ordinary" format, like mpg, maybe.
Try ffmpeg. The help is good and pretty extensive with ffmpeg --help. It really does a good job and is quite fast. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 running openSUSE 11.1 x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
