I have been trying for more than two weeks to get my modem working under suse. It works under w95 and minicom but will not dial under any ppp setup I try. ppp-up localip=0.0.0.0 remoteip= device=dev/modem pppflags="33600 modem debug defaultroute" /urs/sbin/pppd lock connect \ '/usr/sbin/chat -v -f /etc/ppp/ppp.chat' \ $device $pppflags $localip;$remoteip ppp.chat AT&F1 #as per my modems handbook OK ATDTxxxxxxx,,xxxxxxxxxx 38400 \n login: xxxxxx Password: xxxxxxx /etc/ppp/options lock defaultroute noipdefault modem /dev/cua1 38400 crtscts debug passive asyncmap 0 /etc/ppp/options.demand lock defaultroute noipdefault modem /dev/cua1 38400 crtscts debug passive asyncmap 0 ipcp-accept-local ipcp-accept-remote 0.0.0.0:10.10.10.10 demand connect "/usr/sbin/chat -v -f /etc/ppp/pppscript" /etc/resolv.conf earch aracnet.net nameserver xx.xxx.x.x When I punch in ppp-go the modem sits there and stare at me. No dial tone or anything. The modem is a USRobitics Sportster Voice 33600 internal. This is getting very frustrating to me. I have tried the suggestions on this help listing, suse PPP: Modem does not dial support database sheet and suggestions from a number of users, especially Zentara. What should I do next? Thanks Denis -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
