When/How to update tumbleweed

For the longest time I was depending on https://review.tumbleweed.boombatower.com to figure out when it was safe to update tumbleweed and which release to update to. That site has not been updated due to an issue with the mailing list where the site got its information. So for people who use tumbleweed, how do you know when is a good time to update? What command do you use? I know there is snap and that I can roll back if something breaks, but obviously would rather not go through that. Thanks and Happy New Year!
