Set the modem up as you would normally do (using wvdial) and get it working as a normal modem for SuSE 7 only. Then all you need to do to set up basic sharing is to type the following two commands: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward ipchains -P forward MASQ Of course, you'll have to do further configuration to improve the firewalling on the linux computer, and if you want SuSE to dial up automatically, you'll need to set up diald (which isn't that difficult either).
