Hi, I have installed SuSE 6.4 on my ThinkPad 390E.I live in India which is 51/2 Hrs East of GMT. I have selected a proper TIMEZONE using Yast2 as Asia/Calcutta. The date/time in BIOS is also correct. When I reboot the system, the time is always 51/2 Hrs ahead of the local time ( Asia/Calcutta). I believe, somewhere I am telling the distribution that the local RTC is set to GMT, and hence the date command is being shifted by 51/2 Hrs, but I am not sure where is that set. Can somebody help me ? It is causing me some anxious moments as I am having problems finding out which files I modified at what time ? Thanks.
