I brought a new hard disk for my PC at home and vacated 2G to install Linux. It's great since it is talking more or less the same language as my unix box at work. However I could not find any suitable drivers for my OPTi931 PNP sound card and Lexmark 1000 Colour Jet which both worked fine under window 95. For the sound card, I had rebuilt the kernel/module N times plus using isapnp but still had no luck. I guess the 82C931 chip set is quite different from the Sound Blaster Pro which it emulates. Officially SuSe (redhat nor slackware) does not support these two items, but does anybody have any idea where to find the drivers or any success in write one on their own. I just don't want to throw them away yet. Regards, PC -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
