in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail. So, check this please and use another prefix!
Ksynaptics is offered in the normal Suse installation. Just open Yast2/Software/Software Management and search for it. The fact that this is a KDE app shouldn't matter. At least in KDE, which I use, I can install any Gnome app from the DVD and they run in KDE just fine. I assume/hope Ksynaptics will create an entry in the Gnome menu for you to use. Carlos FL Hmm, strangely, this doesn't happen for me. I searched for synaptics, and found the X11-input-synaptics package, but nothing else. Hmm, I guess maybe that just means I didn't install it? I thought that Yast's software management knew about the stuff that was still on the install disks though. Perhaps not, I'll see if I can kick it a little harder that way.
