Okay, I've been through YaST; I've put my ISP's DNS IP in /etc/resolv.conf ... and still no dice.
When I run
/etc/suseppp/scripts/ppp-up generic
nothing happens. I just get a blinking cursor and have to hit Ctrl-C.
When I attempt to run kPPP, it dials the modem just fine, but hands on "starting pppd". (To top it off, it even hangs when I try to quit after such a session, and I have to kill it.)
I dunno what to do at this point.
Are you sure your modem is well configurated ? Maybe you should check it and read for example the Serial-Howto... I personnaly had to uncomment the proper line in /sbin/init.d/serial to have my modem work properly.
