Now, as ntpstat is nowhere to be found, how can I know what is the actual time difference between my computer clock and reality?
No, ntpq doesn't say.
When ntpq -pn indicates a synchronized client, there is no actual time difference between your computer clock and reality.
Of course there is, as "ntpq -pn" clearly says. Whether it is negligible or not depends on your goals.
Okay, yes of course that is true. I should have say that a "synchronised client" for me is equivalent to "no difference". -- Per Jessen, Zürich (9.4°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
