I presume that I would need everything in ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/7.2 but are there any other files to actually tell on-line update whats new?
The files that tell YOU what's new are the ones in the "patches" and "patches.cont" directories. You get those when you grab the directory you mention. Note that when you put the directory on your internal ftp server, you need to maintain the directory structure from i386 down. Putting the 7.2 directory in the top level directory will fail. /pub/SuSE/i386/update/7.2 for example, will work. Then give "/pub/SuSE" as "directory name on server" to the online update clients. regards Anders -- `When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, `it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less.'
