Flat-panel displays with SuSE 8

Any successes, failures, useful tips from people who have used flat-panel displays with SuSE 8? Any brands/models to avoid? They're still too expensive, but my resistance is fading... :-) and I'd like to avoid a costly mistake. Thank you.
