Probably you need to set "hdc=ide-scsi" in your grub boot-options. "hdc" being your current cdrecorder-device. Then you can talk to the recorder as /dev/sr0. Helped in my setup.
Really? I've never had to put anything like that in grub.conf? I have however found out that you have to go into YaST and add links in the hardware settings.
