MOre to the point for me IS there a Quanta that works correctly under KDE 4.2 that does not need a load of KDE 3.5.x Stuff installed , I do quite a lot with Quanta but have to keep a seperate drive with a 10.3 KDE 3.5 install to run it properly it sucks in KDE4.2
Pete .
Pete,
Thanks for the heads up.
openSuSE kde4 guys, what is the story here? Quanta+ is a must have app. What is the timeline for getting quanta fixed to work natively *and* properly on 11.1?
I asked Andras Mantia about it a couple of days ago. He said that it is being worked on, but a lot of stuff is still unfinished - it is not a 1:1 port. I suggest you carry on with the KDE 3 version.
Pete, are you just keeping Quanta on a separate install because you don't want to mix 3.5 and 4.2, or is there another reason?

Hi . I am using it on a seperate disc for two reasons one all the data the sites ect are all on theat disk and i did n ot fancy moving things around untill the version with 11.1 was worth it i have tried using it on the 11.1 installe with KDE4.2 using a parrall KDE 3.5.x install to run it but still get complaints about missing parts (i will have to change discs over to list them) but it is also falkey and prone to just hanging running it that way for some reason some changes to a page will take it forever to save but run on it's native 10.3 KDE3.5.10 install it is instant it also has issues with viewing the site you are working on on the version with 11.1 . So i stuck to the 10.3 disc for now just use 11.1 for other stuff (Quinton Motor Club (no the clubs web site is NOT one of mine i am glad to say that is causing a lot of heat right now )) :-) ..
