Hello!
I tried to install NVidia drivers (from nvidia.com) for my GeForce4 420 Go on Toshiba Satellite S1410-303.
When X is starting up and my screen is switching to another graphics mode, my linux *hangs up*. I cannot switch to text mode by CTRL+ALT+Fn and my screen is black.
I installed the newest driver according to Suse HOWTO from http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-installer-HOWTO.html#3.

Go to the nVidia site and read the README and the HOWTO for the driver 8774. Your card is supported by driver 8774.
Cheers.
I install 8774 driver (not from rpm packages one nvidia.com). Effect was the same - hung up. So I installed driver from 7XXX series and it is working now. Interesting, but NVidia should update legacy-chip list for 7XXX, because it's rather not completed ;) -- Best regards, kitarek
