1. I want to create a server running - mail & web=20 Mail is setup by default (no way to remove it, actually), for web, install Apache2.
2. I have a Linksys Router - WRT54G - my machine is hardwired to the router Great!
3. I have a couple of static IP addresses - which I would like to use for my server Ok.
4. I am very impressed with Cpanel Interface which I am using to host my site with a different service provider - is there anything similar to it - as I would like to host my sites and others too There are some that claim to be free alternatives, but I have never tried it. Might want to look at Webmin and Usermin, not the *SAME* but similar concept, and they work pretty well.
5. Since I cannot be in the office all the time - I would like to have the remote admin control over the server - what ports do I need to open in the router and how can I achieve this. You would need to forward port 22 (SSH). Take a look at www.portforward.com for more info. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
