Also, I couldn't integrate the client with the assistant, so any pointers are welcomed.. El mar, 27 jul 2021 a las 16:34, Ciro Iriarte (<cyruspy@gmail.com>) escribió:
Thanks for the feedback. In this case I'm looking for integrating openSUSE machines as clients, which seems to be supported but using the assistant is error prone and doesn't scale unluckily.

Ciro,
So I do a lot of work with IPA, and I have never seen GUI plugin for IPA. Everything I do is on the command line.
YaST does have a plugin to attach to AD Domain, if you are using FreeIPA for that, only issues, your uid/gid might not match.
Again, everything I've for the pass three years with FreeIPA ( IDM ) is on the command like, expect when I log into FreeIPA to delete host, users, or setup service accounts.
Oh, last I checked, FreeIPA on openSUSE stopped back 2017/2018.

Hello!,
Reading the documentation, I see that I could configure opensuse machines as a FreeIPA client using the stock sssd, although the ipa-client-install command is not available.
I see that yast could be used (yast2-auth-client), but I would like to know if there's a non-interactive CLI tool I could use to automate the configuration.
