Am I missing a new feature or setting somewhere? This was always simple stuff and I never had to mess with Yast when changing networks before. Anybody have any idea why the alternate network blocks in wpa_supplicant.conf are not getting parsed for a connection? What say the experts?
Err... Nobody?
One more oddity in "Yast -> Network Devices -> Network Setting -> AR5001 Wireless Net Adapter -> Edit -> Wireless Device Settings -> Network Name (ESSID) Network Name (ESSID) is a list box, but it doesn't contain anything. I'm sure it is supposed to hold the results of "Scan Network", but for hidden ESSID's it is of no use. Before 11.4 -- this information was cached somewhere IIRC so you could simply choose a prior config or WAP. Why this is no longer populated is probably related to why the wireless driver will no longer step though the network blocks in wpa_supplicant.conf. For madwifi - this drop box should at a minimum include the wireless networks defined in wpa_supplicant.conf. Thoughts? -- David C.
