Well, I think he meant it to be amusing. It just seems that on humour, as well as taste, one's mileage may vary.

You know, it's one thing to mention a new release, but this is bordering on SPAM.
Ever sacrafice any goats?
What does that have to do with Window Managers? I've sacrificed a few users in my day, but only to appease the SCSI gods.
Listen, I gota listen to your views everyday.
There are unsubscribe instructions attached to the bottom of each and every post to this list. If you find the content that bad, there are certainly better ways to spend those few minutes a day. Have you considered visiting the Big Blue Room right next to the computer room?
If someone posts something that you might not care for, then ignore it. Someone else may want to know about it OTHER than you.
Truthfully, I found the "bordering on spam" response rather humorous. Reread your post objectively. Now compare it to the myriad of Make-Money-Fast spams you get daily. Seems pretty close. I would imagine that the Blackbox author (don't know him personally) would prefer that activism be done tastefully. He's certainly applied a certain aesthetic to his work that would imply it.
It is tragic that you find yourselfs the moderators and the VOICE to tell people what they can do and what they can't.
Oh, go ahead and say it. We're all dictators holding down the little guy. Do you feel better now?
I care not for your little flame talk against me, I don't have time for it.
And yet you have time to post a nasty tantrum to a mailing list? Odd.
Nor does anyone else, you failed in limiting your judgement of being a Voice againt a harmless post. Now you sound like your top dog over anyone's ideas that you care to stop. Stop what?
Huh? You wanted everyone to imply a bit of humor into your post, why not ascribe the same attributes to the "bordering on spam" comment? I certainly took it as a gentle poke in the ribs. Take it as constructive criticism on how to get peoples' interest in something.
Ah never mind, you want me to hand you a shovel? so you can dig yourself deeper? Over such a simple post.
About the only thing I'm going to need a shovel for is to clear out all the tissues after your sob story of repression by The Man.
Maybe I should join the crowd of the 31337 like you doods. Bah, never...s/k-lamer/k-lamers
