After a lot of tracking about having multiboot with vista, Xp, openSUSE 10.3 and USB :-))) I had lot of problems, now solved :-)
but still one is not solved: I have no more the green screen during boot/shut down.
my grub config is done by YaST, have the splash=silent and the message is 386Ko
I can live without this, but my machine is a demo one and the green screen is smartier :-))
what makes me upset is that I have this screen if I load from the dvd, but don't know how to keep it back on usual boot
thanks to your help :-)

Hi, I'm pretty much noob, so I'm kind of afraid to write things here, but have you checked if in /etc/sysconfig/bootsplash file you have THEME="SuSE" and SPLASH="yes". And you also need to run mk_initrd being root. I remember that helped me. If I'm saying bad things, I hope guys here will correct me :) Cheers! -- Sergey Mkrtchyan, PhD Student @ Department of Physics & Astronomy, Faculty of Science, University of Waterloo -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
