I haven't tried this yet myself, but the SuSE Support Database addresses this issue. The title of the article is: Acrobat Plug-In for Netscape Communicator 4.5 The problem is that both the Acrobat Reader and the plugin are based on libc5. There is a detailed solution given. Alan rimez wrote:

The Acrobat Reader plugin is still a libc5 binary, while Netscape is glibc2. Therefore it cannot load the plugin...
Couldn't you use Navigator 3.x if you really really needed acrobat to work with netscape? It's libc5 right?
