udev

Hello! Is there a way to get rid of the udev system? I don't need "a userspace application for populating /dev dynamically with only entries for devices actually present". I want /dev to bear the devices statically: it is a server and it must not do anything if somebody plugs anything on it. And I w3ant to make my own devices with mknod and wish that they won't be forgotten if I reboot the machine... luciano. -- /"\ /Via A.
