Where I should put modules to be load at the boot time?
It's in yast2, sysconfig-editor,Base-administration,Common-Basics, initrd_modules
For example, I have "sr_mod" enabled(M) in the kernel, and want to put it in "modules.conf", what should I do? Just enter "sr_mod" in a line, or I should add some more command. To me this "modules.conf" is very confusing , since in Gentoo all I need to do was to enter the name of a module in " modules.autoload" .
The initrd is where the modules get loaded at boot-time. modules.conf is just for setting the options to the various modules. What options do you want to set for sr_mod ?
By the way, I can't find "MAKEDEV" command. Do you use the command at all?
It's in /sbin/MAKEDEV It's in the makedev rpm. Go to install software and serch for makedev. -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
