Hi, Can anybody tell me where KHTML is meant to be on 9.1 ? When I am browsing with Konqueror and click on an html file I get a message saying that Konqueror cannot start KHTML. A search of my hard drive just gives me a couple of folders of the same name. Anybody else have anythoing different? Regards, Colin
kthml is the htem renderer of konqueror. See
www.konqueror.org/features/browser.php Hi Jos, Thanks for the above reference. However, I will have to power up my old XP laptop to view it because my Konqueror only shows me the source, making life a little difficult :-)
In my distro (9.3) it resides in kdelibs3, kdelibs3-devel and kdeaddons3-konqueror. You'll also need kde3base. Before reinstalling that lot look if you accidentally hosed your konqueror configuration. Go to .kde/share/config and rename konquerorrc to konquerorrc_old.
Restart konquerer and see if it behaves like it should. If it does you're done, if it doesn't, back to the drawing board. Thanks for this. I was looking for KHTML so didn't think to look here. I found it interesting, and I learnt a little. However it didn't help. Best regards, -- Jos van Kan www.josvankan.tk I found rpms for kdelibs3, kdelibs3-devel and kdeaddons3-konqueror I didn't find an rpm for kde3base, but I did find one for kdebase3.
Do you think that I should re-install? I am a newbie, so I guess I won't needing kdelibs3-devel ? Do I need to un-install anything, or just try installing over the top? Thanks for your pointers so far. Regards, Colin PS: I like Amsterdam. And nice people.
