anyone asked SuSe-Novell if they are going to update Mozilla as part of their Linux? :-)
If you mean will Moz 1.6 be available via YOU, the answer will be 'no', that's not the way SuSE do updates. Any security problems that may be found in 1.4 will be patched and new releases done, but upgrading to 1.6 would introduce big API/ABI incompatibilities with other software that use Mozilla (such as Epiphany and Galeon, which need to be built for a specific version of Mozilla). However, you can get unofficial builds of 1.6 from ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/mozilla or www.usr-local-bin.org -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 9.0).
