How is it different from the case of file in /etc marked as configuration? You won't get new version if you change it as well. --
I do get a notice. Either the new config file is marked as ".rpmnew", or my old one gets renamed to ".rpmsave", and the new one is activated. The service "rpmconfigcheck" tells me about it on every boot - but you will not see this if you have the splash screen active. That's why I disable it. Or one of the reasons ;-) - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
