Linux don't really need antivir only if your machine is serving as a mail server etc to winblob machines, according to symantec that only has recorded 3098 viruses for Linux but none for Linux it self only for applications running on Linux. On Fri, 2006-10-20 at 07:53 -0700, Robert Lewis wrote:

Those of us that have never used an anti-virus program on Linux and brag to their MS friends that they don't need to wonder why on Linux one is needed?
Why have the extra overhead on the machine?
