Of course, he could also have avoided it by first learning how to properly do a rollback. I fully agree. The problem would not have existed if the sysadmin had not decided to remove the snapshots. Sorry Roger, but this is entirely a PEBKAC thing.
Yeah. In hindsight (and after getting more information from others who had the kde6 zypper dup fail as mine did), I see that the rollback that I did was not needed. Still, why it exhibited the behavior I saw is not clear. -- Roger Oberholtzer
