The status of the service that seems to have something running by the RPM says: ● btrfs-defrag.service - Defragment file data on a mounted filesystem Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/btrfs-defrag.service; static; vendor preset: disabled) Active: inactive (dead) Docs: man:btrfs-filesystem I have never modified the btrfs installation.
