if you mean to just download the audio w/o video, youtube-dl -x --audio-format mp3 --audio-quality 2 <url-of-video>
will dl the entire file and strip the video leaving only audio.
but there is no video, only audio :-(
I thought that you only wanted the audio...
in fact, youtube-dl download the video of the page, but not the audio only files
you said that it didn't get video. if the remote site files contain both video and audio, the config I presented will dl the file and strip the video away leaving only the mp3 audio file. I do it frequently to populate usb sticks for music I prefer w/o commercials to play in my vehicles. or I have absolutely no idea what the files have or what you want, I mis-understand your condition and desires. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
