Hello,
I just had to recover very old course (2002) written with staroffice, just to notice libreoffice do not anymore convert these files.
The support was removed not very long ago, so that if you install, dunno, something between 10.1 and 11.4, in a virtual machine, it may work, and better than converting them to doc. In that LO or OO save in .odt or whatever default, then you should be able to open them in a recent LO.
Which is something I also must do myself to retrieve and backup some old files.
the better thing I found is to run windows openoffice version with wine (not to disturb my libreoffice standard install). Easily found on apache archives. in fact openoffice 3.0.1 seems to be a good version, I could even open sda files (draw) and export them as svg jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
