yeap :) general setup -> apm bios support -> And I do not even guarantee this will solve your problem, it's a matter of both kernel version and mainboard manufacturer.

CONFIG_APM_REAL_MODE_POWER_OFF
Where does this need to be setup? Are we talking kernel crunching again? Anybody?
I finally built up the nerve to take another look at this in the kernel ;-) There is no such (CONFIG_APM_REAL_MODE_POWER_OFF) option in SuSE 7.3 kernel. I am using NVidia drivers, don't know if this has an effect on the options listed in general setup -> apm bios support: 1) Ignore USER SUSPEND 2) Enable PM at boot time (enabled) 3) Make CPU Idle calls when idle 3) Enable console blanking using APM (enabled) 4) RTC stores time in GMT 5) Allow interrupts during APM BIOS calls (enabled) Cheers, Brian
