This is kind of mean. Anyone subscribed to a list like this is going to get hundreds of messages a week anyway, and not all of them will be of interest. It's just par for the course to have to delete these. I don't think Fred Miller sends an egregiously large number of posts, nothing that justifies targeting him. It would be very easy to filter them, or just delete them based on the sender and subject line alone. One of the things that is nice about this list is how congenial everyone is. Let's try to keep that up. I appreciate that getting mail off-list would be annoying. I am a little mystified by this. However, if you are getting mail off-list, what is the point of telling the list about it? Obviously the only person who could do anything about that is Fred Miller, to whom this complaint should have been personally sent. How the ^%#@^ is this guy and why do I get mail from him on and off this list? Even though some of it is interesting I would like to stop him from sending me this crap off-list. Why does the list admin let him keep sending spam to the list? -- Mark Hounschell dmarkh@cfl.rr.com
