Hello list, I am running a dual boot machine, suse 9.2 and w2k. My w2k install has died on me again (or it just feels abandoned). So I need to reinstall it. But this will kill the bootsector on c: (as I have to reformat c: too) which I guess will stop my suse install from working. My question is, is it relatively painless to just fix the suse boot loader once my machine is tainted with w2k again (I got the 9.2 DVD)?
I thought I´d ask first before I am on my own. As my knowledge of linux is quite limited.

Found using google: site:lists.suse.com 2005 reinstalling grub on mbr
hmm. but suse will be inaccessible once I've done the w2k install. How would I go about running grub-install /dev/hda Can I boot into my current suse install from the DVD? Please bear with these simple questions as this is my first linux install ever. Are there any repair options while starting the install from the suse DVD?
