Both commands give segmentation faults. Where to look next. . .?
Not good. It suggests, perhaps, a shared library version incompatibility / mistmatch. Or, possibly, a corrupted executable or shared library file. Another possibility is a hardware problem, but that would probably produce abnormal symptoms in other situations, too. In any event, this is in no way normal. Something is wrong with your system.
