Yesterday I updated my notebook, from SuSE 9.1 to SuSE 9.2 professional, then I can't use palm pilot zire 21, connected via usb, because Kpilot don't find it in /dev/palm or /dev/pilot or /dev/ttyUSB0,1,2,3.... I think cause is in the new virtual file system /dev, but searching via google and in the suse knowledge base, I not find more information about to configure right the palm device... The Zire21 is running PalmOS 5.2.1. I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.11 (from SuSE) for my Treo650 that actually has the same identity (0x0061) as the Zire21. While others have had success, I have not been able to sync. Some others have reported success with the 2.6.10 kernel from kernel.org, and others have reported success with 2.6.9 by updating the visor.c module source.
My next step is to bring down and build a vanilla kernel from kernel.org and try that. -- Jerry Feldman <gerald.feldman@hp.com> Partner Technology Access Center (contractor) (PTAC-MA) Hewlett-Packard Co. 550 King Street LKG2a-X2 Littleton, Ma. 01460 (978)506-5243
