Copying video between two Seagate ST31500341AS disks with ext3 filesystems I get about 77.8 MB/sec. Given they are supposed to be 300 MB/sec:
"Is the 77 MB/sec close to the real world max I should expect?"
http://www.barefeats.com/hard78.html Reports speeds similar to yours on a Sata-3G disc. http://blog.testfreaks.com/review/review-of-seagate-2tb-barracuda-xt-sata6-d... Reports 138 MB/s sustained on a Sata-6G disc. I just tried copying 9GB (split about equally over twelve files) from a ST31500341AS (ext3) to ST3500418AS (ext4) and clocked 109 MB/s on average, maybe ext4 is a bit more efficient here. Looks like your drives are doing quite all right. Haro -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
