I just fought with this (ATI RADEON HD6670) in an openSUSE 12.3 64-bit install. Plunked it out and replaced it with an nvidia... It would be nice if the reboot after the install used the same graphics driver as the install. Otherwise you get a half install since there is no telling what happened in the phase two part of the install when the graphics are gone. At least with the install 100% finished one can then address these pesky hardware issues.
