The 3 most on-the-top-of-my-head reasons: 1. You need to be connected to 2 physical, seperate lan's/networks 2. Besides the 10Mb standard interface you need a connection to the 100Mb backbone. You end up with a 10Mb nic and a 100Mb nic. 3.
